★Review★

I love this series. For me it is the BEST thing this author has written.

Paranormal suits her style for me more than contemporary. (I do really enjoy her other series but find they get a bit overly “wordy” and “metaphory” (yes I know it is not a word) for me yet I do not mind that in a paranormal.)

And I adored Isla and here adored Sophie as a heroine.

Loved the hero in all his sullenness and grumpiness.

And I love how unapologetic she has made her heroines in this series. A vampire, or here a witch that knows their own strengths, and does not feel the need to hide them. They know they are strong, stronger even than the hero due to the nature of what they are.

This series is amazing. And so very different from any other paranormal series I have read (indeed I had stopped reading paranormal for years). It felt like every other paranormal series was full of innocent little heroines, get into some sort of trouble, saved by a vampire/wolf/whatever and “turned” and it simply the hero’s mate for ever more.

You do have to have read book 1 and 2 of the series to read this novella, but this adds a little bit more to the series while filling in some gaps.

Love it. favourite series I have read in years.
