★Review★

All in this is a short, enjoyable read, as long as you do not mind the insta insta lust/love here.

I liked both main characters, decent enough all in, although Meg seemed at one point determined to punish Lo for her ex’s behaviour.

Nothing is really explored too deeply, we are told snippets of what her ex did during their marriage, bit not really enough to get why Meg seemed determined to be alone, when everything was pointing to Lo being all in with her.

Hardly ANY back story on Lo at all.

Lo and Meg’s son do not meet in this book. And at one point, Meg mentions she cannot have children. Ok, but why? They are together and starting a life together, yet this fact is never brought up? Lo is only 35 – he does not want children of his own?

As I say, an enjoyable light read, but it is all only on a very superficial level and nothing gets too deep.

The relationship between Meg and Lo is a HEA but here is a cliffhanger between secondary characters and obviously leading into the next book, which I probably will read.

Maybe I’ll wait to see what you think of book #2 before I start reading this series – great review, Sam 😉
