★Review★

Going to keep this short, but I am LOVING this series.

Have loved Marcus ever since he appeared in the prequel to this series. And again, not a conventional historical romantic hero, in that he was of average height, and not conventionally handsome.

Great chemistry between the hero and heroine. Chock full of passion and great dialogue, and overall a great friendship, which is almost as much of a joy to see develop between the four women, as the romantic relationships are.

This series and this author is making me realise why I used to love historicals and renewing my passion for a well written historical romance.

  1. I just love the connection that these two have with each other…and the bantering…its quite delightful. And I just adored the drunk scene in the library…so hilarious.

    • I think that is what this series has, and what a lot of historical romance can miss out on (and what made me stop reading them) is the humour running through but also the sense that they are both going to be equals in the relationship, despite the time period.
