Another gorgeous read by this author. This book and what I would consider the first in the series are an absolutely beautiful story of family, love, friendship and loss.
Colt and Susanna had a connection as teenagers and were in love but were ripped apart by circumstances outside their control. Colt spent years as a wanderer alone, feeling everyone was better off without him. My heart broke for him as a teenager but he turned himself around and grew into a wonderful man. Susanna – my heart broke for her in the present and her looking after her Dad who was dying of cancer.
There was so much to love about this book, the friendship between Jace and Colt. Colt and Tori’s sibling relationship. Colt and Susanna finding their way back to each other. It was beautiful.
This book made me cry, it made me feel and at the end I had such a smile on my face. Loved it.
