★Review★

This book I was quite nervous about.

I had liked Assail and Sola since they first appeared and was looking forward to their story.

But also – I was nervous about V and Jane – they are one of my favourite couples.

But the V and Jane issue I thought, for me was handled well – yes, V was a dick and lashed out – BUT – it just helped show that it is not always fairy tales and glittery HEA – you have to work at it and nurture a relationship to move on – and again highlights that the love of a good woman is not the miracle cure for a messed up male with issues!! It made their connection feel more real for me – and I actually enjoyed that part of the story and feeling like they had moved forward.

The rest of the story – Assail and Sola I also enjoyed! Loved Sola’s grandmother and Assails twin cousins were awesome! Their story did not disappoint for me.

Overall a 4 stars – as tbh – whats his faces sister and her weird quest for revenge took up to much page time – for me in a book that was really about 2 couples – and that I did not care about.
