I am a bit on the fence about this one.

I felt like the “love” story part was a done deal. Hound had loved Keely for years and Keely, while not as long the same back.

We just get told they are in love, get some brief scenes in the past, and that is it. No experiencing of them falling in love, which is my favourite bit of a story.

And Chaos, what did they want? They KNEW how Hound felt, but would they rather he be alone for the rest of his life, or Keely be alone? This series has done a bang up job in subsequent books of making you dislike previous main characters.

The first half of the book, I struggled with. It felt like Keely was using Hound, and I HATED how she referred to herself as Mama. Oh and the sexy talk?? Not sexy!

Anyway, it improved once we got some Keely POV and the whole “mama” business stopped. And I loved Dutch and Jagger.

But, the whole Tad thing and his little penis, that turned out to be not so little anyway. Not sure what that was about tbh, and not sure what it was meant to add to the story. It felt like she was writing him as a dud, so that Bev would get back with Boz, then changed her mind halfway through, to keep Bev with Tad, so had to back track on the small penis/dud in bed thing. But sorry, once it was out there, I could not get it out of my head he had a tinky winky.

Also, where did Hound have the time to do ALL he did for Jean, and the MC, AND Keely and her family in the short 24 hours in a day???

It was ok, but I do worry just what she is going to do with the Chaos MC, feels like we will get a split with Tack on the older ones on one side, and Rush and the younger ones on the other.

I didn’t hate it but then I didn’t love it.
