★Review★

So I have been on a bit of a Mariana Zapata binge lately.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the slow burn of her books, but for me, there is just something so enthralling about how she writes. You do not want it to end and as you move up on the percentage scale on the kindle, you wish it could slow down even more, while at the same time, wanting to get to the bit where they are together.

The build up from dislike or indifference to friendship to love is just oh so brilliantly done, and it makes it feel so real. Aidan starts the book as a very closed off character, but slowly, you peel away the layers, get hints and he is not all he seems. Yes, he stays pretty much a jerk to everyone else, but being able to experience how much he changes towards Vanessa as the book goes on is beautiful.

Another excellent 5 stars
