★Review★

I worried about this book, even though I have read on the discussion boards on GR that is tends to be a favourite for most for this author.

But starting it, I worried just HOW LK would redeem St Vincent given his actions in book 2, and just how could Evie go to him and make the proposal she did.

But you know what, she did it! And in such a way, that I hardly saw him as the villain he appeared in Book 2. And Evie, poor Evie, making the only decision she thought she had open to her to escape her truly evil family. Brave brave girl.

I love how this story developed, having St Vincent’s POV as well as Evie really truly helped. How LK wrote it so that they had both changed and grew before the rest of the wallflowers made an appearance in this book really helped also in seeing St Vincent as something other than he appeared in book 2 and how much he had changed.

A story about two people who you never would have paired, or indeed they would have themselves, forced together, only for them both to find, in being together, they become something so much more and beautiful and good.

  1. oh yay!! I am glad you loved this one too! She does some fantastic things with this story, and I loved Evie and Sebastian together…after you read it…everything just clicks and I love it. Even though I love all the books in the series I do adore this one the most.
