★Review★
I have to admit this was – different to what I was expecting!
I expected a hot and scorching, light read with the guaranteed happy ending.
What is was, was a rather heartfelt emotional packs a punch tale, of two people, finding each other, at the wrong time in their lives, especially for Sophie, and even had me doubting that HEA.
That is not say I did not enjoy it, I did very much so, but there was something more than what I expected.
Sophie and Tucker meet, in Sophie’s first week in Missoula, Montana, and have what is meant to be one night only together, and are both determined for it to only ever be that. Yet, when they meet again, unplanned, that one night turned into another and another.
Neither want or feel able at that time to have a relationship.
I really liked both Sophie and Tucker, and there was something rather more honest, raw, heartfelt and real about their story. Certainly as I say, more than I expected.
It was a beautiful, at times sad story and I really enjoyed it.
The only complaint I would have is that it ended rather abruptly. I wanted more from them at the end, after the “I Love You” after all that had gone on, battling their own demons and circumstances, I feel the story could have benefited from more of them together as a couple, an epilogue maybe. Something of them truly together.
Over all, a very very pleasantly surprised more than I expected 4 stars.
